Nominated by Nadine Sierra, Mikayla Sager has won the Manetti Shrem Prize with Festival Napa Valley. She will be featured in a main role in their opera and an outdoors concert with orchestra. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this performance has been postponed to July 2022.

Mikayla Sager was named an Artist Division Finalist for the National Opera Association's 2021 Carolyn Bailey and Dominick Argento Vocal Competition. Mikayla Sager was selected as a semi-finalist in Gran Teatre del Liceu's Tenor Viñas Competition on January 17, 2021. Founded in 1963 by Jacint Vilardell to commemorate Catalan tenor Francesc Viñas, the competition has become one of the major contests in the opera, oratorio and Lied world, in which young singers from all over the world take part every year.
